I highly recommend this product for anyone who owns a pair of leather shoes or boots. It does a great job polishing, removing marks, and conditioning the leather. I put some of this on my 5 year old pair of DR. Martens shoes, and it did a great job of brining back the original color. Unfortunately the balsam could not reverse all the years of abuse. After all it's wonder balsam not miracle balsam. I also want to reiterate a point that many others have made. A little bit of this stuff goes a long way. I can see this container lasting me at least a few years. -- Highly Recommended

I have used Dr.Martens Wonder Balsam for probably 20 years. It is the best cleaner/restorer/conditioner for leather shoes ever. The vaseline-like gel restores the natural oils and conditions leather like nothing else I have ever used. I have even used this product on dress shoes to recondition the leather before applying colored polish. On casual shoes, this product is all I ever use.

I had to apply it twice over a period of a month in order for it to really take effect. I used this on my new pair of 8 eye-hole Dr. Marten boots Crazy Horse style leather. It really did the trick on these boots, it made them look fantastic and really hold up well in wet weather. Just make sure to really lather up any seems in your shoes/boots, if you dont it makes treating the rest of your shoes/boots pointless. Overall this stuff is incredibly good and I can't even begin to fathom when this little jar will run out of this wonderous stuff. A few applications will last a good long time. -- Wonder Balsam is a fitting title

I bought this for a couple of pairs of DMs that I own, including a "Made in England" pair that I am very proud of and have worn almost daily for over two years. They were starting to get a little tired looking, but this stuff has given them a whole new lease of life. I had originally been using dubbin and more recently mink oil on them, which was OK, but I found it went on quite thick and was leaving lots of gunk in the lacing around the sole. This stuff goes on much smoother and thinner, especially with the little applicator sponge that you get and makes my shoes look much smarter. It is obviously much more expensive that regular shoe polish or mink oil, but it is far superior and you don't really need to use much to do a shoe, so it will last ages (I did two pairs of shoes with just the residue on the lid). I would highly recommend it. -- Awesome!
