I have been buying new balance men's 600 series, cross training shoes, probably now for over 10 years. I have a narrow foot and new balance B width shoes fit me to a T. I have particularly enjoyed the MX622. This shoe is light. durable, and well padded. It has all leather construction, with sufficient vents for breathing. The sole has excellent traction, and has the perfect stiffness to avoid having rock impacts transmitted to your feet. They hold up well. I typically get a minimum of 6 to 9 months of daily wear on each pair. I recently bought a second pair, when I found out that they were being replaced with a new model. In a moment of extreme laziness, I actually pulled out the laces, and the insoles and threw them in the washing machine with a load of towels. The results were astounding. Absolutely no damage to the shoes and about two thirds of the visible wear had been erased. A bit more work with a sponge and spray cleaner, cleaned up what was left. The leather is extremely robust and the result was a pair of cross trainers with little more than a just broken-in appearance. The top lacing eyes have a retention mechanism that keeps the shoes tied, eliminating the necessity for double knots. The shoes always look good and are always comfortable over a wide range of temperatures and use. -- A great training shoe, but a new model is here

I WAS NOT TO SURE ABOUT THIS SHOE BECAUSE ANOTHER RECENT NEW BALANCE PURCHASE WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING. I DO REALIZE THAT AS A REALLY BIG GUY WORKING ON MY STRENGTH WEIGHT AND BALANCE,SHOES DONT STAND A CHANCE OF LASTING VERY LONG WITH THE REGULAR POUNDING I GIVE THEM. SO THAT BEING SAID I BOUGHT THESE SHOES IN HOPES OF GETTING SOMETHING FOR COMFORT AS WELL AS A LITTLE BIT OF STYLE. I AM MORE THAN PLEASED. WALKING IS ALOT MORE COMFORTABLE AND MY FEET DONT ACHE AFTER MY WORKOUT AND THEN GETTING ON A TREADMIL. I AM BUYING ANOTHER PAIR ASAP IN HOPES THAT THEY WILL LAST A LITTLE BIT LONGER THAN THREE MONTHS I HIGHLY RECOMEND THESE TO ANY BIG GUYS GETTING BACK INTO SHAPE OR LIKE ME WHO WEARS A SIZE 15 EE. The new balance sneaker was the one I ordered, except it cam in "all white" rather than the white with blue trim as I ordered. It would have been cost prohibitive and not timely to send it back and wait for the repalcement. -- new balance mx622 purchase
