This shoe is the perfect shoe for new walkers. It is very light weight and the sole is water proof (unlike the leather soled Robeez) but still very pliable allowing baby to use her feet as if she were bare foot. Also, unlike the leather bottom crib shoes, this one has an adjustable velcro strap, allowing for the perfect fit without being too tight and leaving marks on chubby ankles. Lastly, the inside is absolutely seemless. My daughter wears these barefoot and when I take them off her feet, there's not a single compression mark or area that rubs. The t-strap seems to make this shoe harder to pull off compared to mary janes. This is truly the first pair she's not been able to yank off her feet...we've tried Pediped, leather bottom Robeez, and Osh-Kosh. -- Great shoe for new walkers
